VETUS Cowl Ventilator – Type Libecs 75mm (Screwed down synthetic ring) / LIBECS

This is a silicone cowl ventilator suits to replace JERRYS – guaranteed to withstand the test of time Silicone rubber is a very flexible synthetic material with a service temperature range between -100ºC and +200ºC. It has many excellent mechanical qualities, but the greatest advantage is that it will not discolour in UV light. It might look and feel like organic rubber, but it has a completely different structure to other elastomers. The structure gives a very flexible feel as well as providing a material that has very small changes in dynamic characteristics over a wide range of temperatures. Even after years in the Caribbean sun, these ventilators will still look like new. Ring nuts and mating deck flanges are made of hard synthetic. A monel mosquito screen and a stainless steel (AISI 316) cover plate to close off the cowl ventilator, can be supplied as an option.
