Seastar Helm Xtreme No Feedback Including Bezel
Designed in conjunction with the Xtreme™ steering cable, the new Xtreme™ steering helm features a highly efficient custom gear train with an improved No Feedback (NFB) clutch function that minimises the effects of engine torque.
Requiring only five turns lock to lock, the new NFB clutch design allows for smoother clutch release which results in seamless steering in both directions at all engine speeds.
Using the same mounting pattern and bracket location as current SeaStar Solutions® steering systems, the Xtreme™ helm has been designed with the smallest available footprint making it ideal for tight helm stations such as centre consoles.
Where required, the SeaStar Solutions® Sport and Sport Plus tilt mechanisms can be utilised with the Xtreme™ tilt helm.
Utilising the innovative dual Quick Connect feature makes attaching the steering cable and spent travel tube to the back of the helm a fast and simple operation.

Warning: Ensure compatibility with your existing steering cable and helm station before installation to avoid costly adjustments. Compatiable with Xtreme SSCX64 cables only.

While the Xtreme™ helm’s compact design is perfect for tight spaces, remember that fewer turns lock to lock means quicker steering response. This can be a blessing for precision but may feel twitchy if you’re used to slower helm systems. If you’re upgrading from a traditional helm with more turns, take some time to adjust your steering style to avoid overcorrection, especially in choppy conditions.
Also, the Quick Connect feature is a real time-saver during installation or maintenance — but always double-check the connections for security before heading out, because a quick snap isn’t a substitute for a firm, reliable fit.
