Marine Town Mega Flow Exhaust Outlet
These highly polished 316 marine grade stainless steel exhaust outlets provide excellent protection against water intrusion.
Each outlet incorporates an integral pivoting 316 grade stainless steel flapper valve which is specially designed to inhibit water intrusion back into the exhaust system.
To ensure engine exhaust water has minimal contact with the hull, an ingenious stand off collar has been incorporated. This collar has been designed to keep residual drips, which have a tendency to streak and stain, away from the hull.
For additional corrosion protection, an earth anode grounding wire connection screw has been incorporated into the retaining nut, while a silicon hull gasket helps to provide a watertight seal.

While the Mega Flow Exhaust Outlet is designed to reduce water intrusion effectively, one overlooked factor is the importance of regularly checking the pivoting flapper valve for salt build-up or marine growth. Even high-grade stainless steel can suffer from reduced function if the valve becomes sticky or blocked, especially in saltwater environments. A quick rinse with fresh water during routine maintenance can save you from costly exhaust system repairs down the track.
Also, consider the orientation of the outlet during installation. Positioning it to take advantage of natural water flow and minimising exposure to heavy spray can further reduce the risk of water intrusion and staining.
